Dr. Del Valle became interested in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility while he was in training in Internal Medicine. He acquired Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1981. He is one of few, who after completing training in Internal Medicine became Board Certified in Obstetrics in Gynecology in 1985 at the University of Toronto. Upon completion of the Obstetrics and Gynecology training Dr. Del Valle did post graduate training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Frederick Nattolin, Dr. Del Valle developed a keen interest in research and innovation in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Del Valle has authored numerous scientific publications and presented his data nationally and internationally. Dr. Del Valle is often quoted in the media and is often invited to lecture locally and abroad.
Aside from his numerous academic and scientific achievements, Dr. Del Valle is an advocate for patient's rights and ensures that his team looks after the patients with care and compassion.
Dr. Del Valle belongs to the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologist of Canada, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Society of Cryobiology, and the American Association of Tissue Banks.
Dr. Del Valle's main interests are in the area of InVitro Fertilization, egg donation, and surrogacy, as well as aspects related to male infertility.
